WHAT IS ASWU?

ASWU, the Associated Students of Woodbury University, is the student government at Woodbury University. It is made up of 6 Executive Board members, Project Managers, Senators, Interns and Secretaries. The purpose of ASWU is to create a bridge between the staff, faculty, and student body, in order to create transparency and understanding of the goals and needs of the students, in order for the students to have a better college experience.

WHEN DOES ASWU EXECUTIVE BOARD MEET?

The ASWU Executive Board meets every Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at the Pool House Conference Room. Here is where ASWU discusses the tasks and projects being worked on, ways of improving student life, and more. This information gets relayed to the organization representatives at Assembly meetings.

WHAT IS CAB?

CAB, Campus Activities Board, is a branch off of ASWU, which is credited for enhancing the social and cultural atmosphere on campus by providing a variety of programs to the Woodbury Community.

WHAT IS ASSEMBLY?​

Assembly is a weekly meeting held in which the ASWU Executive board and all ASWU members, meet with respective organization representatives that are considered active by ASWU, to talk about important organization updates, events, and other important information. 

 

WHERE AND WHEN IS ASSEMBLY? (Virtually this semester)

Assembly is held every Tuesday from 12 PM - 1 PM in the Saffell Board Room. The Saffell Board Room is located in Hensel Hall (connected to Miller Hall) on the second floor, above Human Resources. The Saffell Board Room can be accessed by stairs or the elevator located right outside of the Consolidated Student Center.

CAN ANYONE ATTEND ASSEMBLY?

Yes! All students are welcome and encouraged to attend Assembly meetings, as they are informative and give updates on ASWU projects/events, as well as updates from all active organizations on campus.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH ASWU?

There are a couple of ways to get involved with ASWU. Positions such as Project Managers, Senators, Interns, and Secretaries are available within ASWU. If you would like to get involved as an Executive Board Member, you can as well as long as you have been a member of ASWU through another position for a minimum of one semester. You can apply through our website application that is located under the "Applications" tab under "DOCS & SURVEYS".

DOES ASWU TABLE DURING THE SEMESTER? 

Yes! ASWU and CAB table weekly on Wednesdays from 12 PM - 1 PM on the Main Quad. Here you can get the latest ASWU information, can ask questions, and even receive free SWAG from ASWU and CAB.
